Please help us support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Carissa Barrett, 17 years old from Bloomsburg who battled adrenal cancer carcinoma at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. Tiadaghton Elm Classic Canoe/Kayak Race Weekend
Saturday, 11am (registration starts 9am) from the McElhattan Boat Launch for the Tiadaghton Elm Classic, now in its 54th year. Categories for amateur and recreational canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are offered for beginner, amateur and pro level classes. A variety of distances offered. The Keystone Challenge includes both a 29-mile marathon for more experienced paddlers that starts Saturday with a 12-mile course from McElhattan right after the Tiadaghton Classic. The second day of the marathon starts at 9am from the Woodward Boat Launch in Lock Haven and runs a 17-mile course ending at the Jersey Shore Boat Access. The other portion of the Keystone Challenge – a 15-mile relay/race – also starts Sunday at 9am from the Woodward Launch and ends at the Jersey Shore Access. $40. Sunrise Sunset Susquehanna Paddle
We're getting our paddles ready! Hope you are too! Join us as we take a family-friendly, all-levels-welcome paddling adventure on the PA River of the Year -- the Loyalsock Creek. We will float the lower section from Pier 87 Restaurant onto the West Branch Susquehanna River, where we will take out at Kremser's Landing and have a post-paddle celebration to remember! This paddle will also serve as the Third Annual Sunrise Sunset Susquehanna Paddle! Our day on the water will include a catered breakfast at the launch, a picnic lunch on the water, and a catered BBQ at the landing. We will be professionally guided by Canoe Susquehanna.
